All sorts of questions were put to the pair as they churned out
the answers at a great rate of knots. The full transcript of the

- Uniting Church leader calls for action on global tension.
From Anglican Church of Australia - General Synod 2001 Media Service.
The Federal Government needed to boost its role in giving humanitarian aid, advocating for troubled nations and accepting refugees, president of the Uniting Church in Australia, the Reverend Professor James Haire said on Sunday (July 22, 2001).
Professor Haire made the comments in a sermon at the opening service for the 12th General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia at St John's Cathedral, Brisbane, today.
Bomb blasts today targeted Christian churches in Jakarta, Indonesia - a country in which Professor Haire has been active as an advocate of peace and reconciliation.
"It is absolutely the duty of the Australian Government to do even more now, in terms of international advocacy, humanitarian aid, and the reception of refugees," Professor Haire said.

- Paul Colman Duo Live Chat!
From Site Admin.
The
Paul Colman Live Chat Monday night (23 July) will now include bass
playing whiz Grant Norsworthy, the Paul Colman
Trio's bass player.
In a late confirmation only a day before the scheduled Live Chat,
Grant seemed keen on the idea when finally approached after
today's sound check by a very busy Paul Colman. (Grant is approx.
150 emails behind.) Unfortunately this time round, Phil Gaudion,
the Trio's drummer won't be available due to recording and family
commitments. We'll try to get them all in for a Live Chat next
time. Two out of three is a good start.

- WE'RE BACK!
From
Site Admin.
After
a short stint in the wilderness (it felt like 40 years), www.brisbanechristianchat.com
is happily back where it should have always been. For those who
knew www.brisbanechristianchat.com.au
was still in action, you probably didn't miss a beat. But for
those who knew nothing about our plight, it's nice to know that the
website is back to stay - not that it really went anywhere in the
first place. (It was just that browsers could no longer find it.)
It
seems that the US company that registers and renews .com addresses
forgot to process our renewal which was paid for in full over 2
months ago. Subsequently the .com address lapsed (after the 60 day
buffer period finished last week) making www.brisbanechristianchat.com
unavailable to browsers.
But
after many phone calls, emails and faxes the situation has been
rectified and you can now continue using the site as before. You
can now email us again and all the submission forms on the site
work so you can start sending in your News & Events once more.
(The forms kept working the whole time so there is no need to
resend anything.)
Thanks
for your patience and understanding. Long live Brisbane Christian
Chat!

- Here comes The Sammies.
From
Telegram Sam.
The latest export from the thriving Brisbane Christian scene is
Telegram Sam - a 5 piece rock/pop outfit with emotive vocals, strong melodies and driving guitars.
Telegram Sam are in the process of putting the final spit and polish on their first single "Everday", to be released nationally next month.
Caleb James
(Rhubarb, The Frugals, Battered Fish/Leo
Nine) has taken time out of a busy recording schedule with Rhubarb to produce this single and you can expect nothing but his usual exceptional level of quality production.
With delightful female vocals, soaring chorus and a driving guitar hook, "Everday" has all the ingredients of a killer radio single and promises to be the first of many fine releases from Telegram Sam. Drum tracks for the first EP are also "in the can" with an expected release pre-Christmas.
The single will be in your hands within a month, with Telegram Sam planning to have the follow-up ready for release by September/ October.
Telegram Sam are more than happy to make themselves available for radio interviews. Band members have had considerable media experience - Lead singer Christy was the host of a Children TV show for CTA, guitarist Graham was the presenter of a music show on 96.5FM and Daniel (drums) and Adrian (guitars) have been in working bands for over 10 years.
Check out a bio and website (still under construction) at
