10.12.02 - Rocfish's auditions for U.S. Team creating a splash.

From Rocfish.

Audition applications are coming in from all over Australia. There is a lot of interest in becoming a member of the new U.S. Rocfish Team. The upcoming auditions for the U.S. Rocfish Team have created quite a buzz. Anticipation surrounding the new team is high, and the selection process is expected to be difficult for the directors of Rocfish. "We are excited about the sheer numbers of those interested in auditioning." says Karyn Fua, a Rocfish Director. "We are expecting the audition procedure to be full of surprises and tough decisions."

Rocfish already have a staff member in America. David Reed, their Business Manager, has spent the last 6 weeks in the U.S. preparing for the U.S. Launch. He reports high interest from labels and event organisers and feels that, in light of the current success of The Wiggles, plans for the Rocfish U.S. launch are very timely. Venues, festivals and the like are currently being organised.

Next year's plans for the new team are adrenaline-packed to say the least. Excitement and opportunity give some insight into what lies ahead for the new team.

If you still want to audition, you must be extremely quick. Auditions close last mail on December 13, however, you can find out all you need to know by simply contacting the Rocfish office. Some of the selection criteria include: being aged between 18 and 25, singing, dancing and acting skills, and most importantly, you must love God and love kids.

For further information contact the Rocfish office on 07 5598 4644, email karyn@rocfish.com.au or view their website, www.rocfish.com.au. Following the initial round of audition applications, live auditions will be held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Applicants will know if they have made the team by mid January, 2003. More information about the auditions will be released during the live auditions held in the week before Christmas.
