30.10.01 - We Can Change Our Nation - Out There 2002 conference.
As you prepare for 2002, you are invited to another
Out There CityHarvest International and Wagner Leadership Institute - We Can Change Our Nation conference. The conference will be held at Citipointe COC, 322 Wecker Road, Mansfield,
Brisbane, on Feb 25-27, 2002.
Out There 2002 focus is "Strong Believers - Healthy Churches will Transform Cities and Nations." We can change the direction of our nation.
As I travel and minister in our nation, I'm aware that Australia is at a different stage of transformation in each city and region of the country. It is our hope and desire to see this intensify until we see breakthrough occurring on a scale larger than we have ever seen before. We are seeing churches, leaders and praying people all over this nation repositioning themselves to work in partnerships that have a single purpose to see the Church reaching out to their neighbours, friends and work mates - bringing a spiritual transformation, building strong healthy churches with a heart to change their towns and cities.
Friends, Out There 2002, Feb 25-27, beats with this heart and purpose for
our nation.
Out There 2002 also has two strategic Wagner training and equipping seminars on offer. Two 14 contact hours of hands-on training with the Institute on New Dimensions in the Apostolic, and Releasing Revival Through the Ministry of Deliverance. You will have the wonderful opportunity of sitting in a classroom under the anointed teaching of
Dr C. Peter Wagner and his wife Doris M.
Wagner. In these sessions, you will receive both information and impartation that will help you in your development as a Christian and as a leader in your church and ministry.
You can register online at www.cityharvest.org.au
or by phone 07 3343 8242 or fax 07 3343 7409.
Friends, today's generation is looking for answers. Answers for world crises, answers for personal unrest, unhappiness and the meaning of life. As Christians, we have the answers that today's generation is seeking. God wants to change this nation through us. I believe God is training a generation of people that will rise above the chaos of this world, who are able to do things His way - become His champions! I urge you to come to Brisbane and be equipped by men and women on the cutting edge of ministry at the local church level, who share a common burning desire to impart to you the characteristics of champion believers - nation changers. Everyone will benefit from attending Out There 2002.

23.10.01 - Toowoomba churches open for pre-election prayer.
Twenty-nine churches of all denominations in Queensland's garden city, Toowoomba, have scheduled a series of special pre-election prayer meetings "for our nation, its leaders and its future".
An initiative of the Christian Leaders Network, the prayer services began on 22 October and will be held at various times through the week at the 29 venues up to and including 10 November, national polling day.
"A Time to Pray" headed the full-page advertisement in Toowoomba's daily paper, listing the venues and times. The ad. featured a photo of a father of federation, Alfred Deakin, Australia's second Prime Minister, quoting his prayer of 100 years ago: "God preserve this people and grant its leaders unselfish fidelity and courage to face all the trials. Thy blessing has rested upon us and we pray that it may be the means of creating and fostering, throughout all Australia, a Christlike citizenship".
The text of the advertisement said that "In these uncertain times, Alfred Deakin's prayer 100 years ago remains relevant. As representatives of many of Toowoomba's churches, we want to make opportunity over the next few weeks for people to pray for our nation, its leaders and its future. You can join one of the special prayer meetings listed, make use of one of the available venues, or simply pray in the privacy of your own home. Whatever you choose, we urge you to pray".
Churches participating in the prayer initiative include Abundant Life, Anglican, Assemblies of God, Baptist, Christian Outreach Centre, Churches of Christ, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Reformed, Salvation Army, Seventh Day Adventist, City Church, Uniting, and Wesleyan Methodist.
