- The End of Free Speech in Australia? A new Bill - ‘Draft Proposals For A Racial And
Religious Tolerance Bill’ - gives reason for concern for Christians
and people with other beliefs. It seems to suggest that people who share
their faith are in danger of being put in jail for 6 months or worse if
the other person claims to feel seriously offended. Personal beliefs can
be a touchy issue.
The Government web site where
the information on this is stored is here.
You can download ‘Draft Proposals For A Racial And
Religious Tolerance Bill’ from this
page. All public submissions regarding the draft should be received by 28
February 2001 at the address specified on the government
web site.
The Draft itself starts on p27
of the document. The concern is over pages 33, 34, 35 of the document and
the implications thereof. It will only take approx. 1 min to download. Please read the Draft for
yourself and if you feel concerned, then address your
concerns in writing.

The truth is that if they don't get enough support from the people of SEQld now, they might be off air forever within a few
short months. Help keep Brisbane's Christian radio on the air, not up in the air! (A link is provided on the Brisbane Christian Chat home page as well as in the links section.) If you become a 96Five sponsor and tell them that you were

- "No signing yet" - Nagasaki end
the rumours.
There have been rumours doing the rounds lately that Brisbane band
Nagasaki have been signed to a major recording label. Nagasaki's Charlie
sets the record straight. He
writes... I can assure you that Nagasaki has not been
signed by any record company. One company has shown interest in the band,
yet nothing has been signed. Thank you to all who have voted for us (in
the www.brisbanechristianchat.com
Just arts poll) and I
hope that one day I may be able to submit some more exciting news in the
future. We
are busy this month recording our 2nd CD single so you won't see us that
much, but here is where you can... Friday Feb 16th Manifesto- Harvest Rain Theatre Company (Click here
