Steven Dix was Born in Lismore, he grew up in Toowoomba on the southern outskirts of town. Bob Dix (father) worked on the road for Shell Oil and in 1978 the family separated. Steven is the youngest of 4 children. Daphne Crowther (mother) moved across town with the two youngest and struggled to raise the kids on a pension and working on a local celery farm.
Steven joined the Toowoomba Choral Society at age 9 and continued singing in
churches and bands throughout his youth. At age 17 Steven complete his senior year and learned to play the guitar. In 1991 he married and moved to
Brisbane to continue working on his music career.
