Visionary musician Bernard Hellmann formed the band in November 4th 1999.
'PARADOX' was born.
"We all come from different places, cultures and walks of life, so our music has many influences".
What began as 'The Band with no name', is now PARADOX, "One of the most talented Christian Rock Bands today", said Mark Wear from 96.5FM Radio.
2000: The band went on to win a place in the finals of The QLD Gospel Eisteddfod a few months later and the flame of
PARADOX began burning. A win in the 100 Fold Battle Of The Bands in
2000 followed by a win in the 96.5FM Creative Challenge for Best Original
Song has seen the groups popularity skyrocket.
Where we play: The contemporary rock sounds of PARADOX appeal to audiences from all walks of life. From
pub performances, music festivals, high schools, community events, to
prison visits and more, the music of PARADOX impacts the lives of all who hear it.
2001: Less than 2 years on, and fresh from a Grand Final appearance at The Queensland Rock Awards
2001 where they played to a crowd of 1500 people, PARADOX has taken time off in the
studio producing their 1st album.
Big News 2002
PARADOX Will play at Major Festivals in QLD Australia 2002. Some include SONFEST on
the Main Stage, Toowoomba Gospel Music Festival, and for an overseas appearance they are heading to Nepal International Music Festival 'Kathmandu to
Timbuktu' in March then on to a two month tour of Russia in July.
The industry awaits the success of the Debut Album from PARADOX, called 'Speak To Me' released on the 9th
November.
