ab naarah - It was great and I even got to drive these really cool cars, except everything is on the other side of the road.

ab naarah - I sung my first song when I was 5.

ab naarah - When we got to play with delirious at Toowoomba!

ab naarah - It's actually in the bible. It's supposed to mean girl of our hearts or something like that.

ab naarah - Gold Coast is home for us!!

ab naarah - I like a lot of various types of music I don't really have one fav but I like U2

ab sam - COC?
ab naarah - We started at christian community church
ab sam - we started as a church band, but in CLCI
ben kolarcik enters.
moderator - Ben is the special tour guest for Alabaster Box from the USA
ab sam - you should call him Ben-K, he likes that :)

ben kolarcik - hey bert! i've been writing music since about 12 years old
ben kolarcik - now they weren't the greatest songs, but i was trying :-)
ab ben - i have been writing stuff for about six years now, but the first stuff was really bad, as ben just said
ab sam - ab ben starts writing song 2 minutes before we have to record them! :)
ab ben - well you have to write them sometime and i work better under pressure
ab sam - ab ben should have been a bomb diffuser, or something high-pressure like that
ab ben - i have a question, sam why have you only just started playing electric now?
ab sam - cos the band only let me now. something about being to noisy in my younger days, i think.
benny says, "do you ever get nervous with a large crowd?"
ab sam - i used to a lot, but now i just get excited
ab naarah - yes and i still get nervous with small crowds too, cause you never know what will happen!
elwood says, "Has your main focus as a band changed over the years?"
ab sam - for me, the focus hasn't changed...
ab naarah - our focus is still the same, it's just grown.
ab sam - at the start it was to play music to glorify God, and it still is.

ab naarah - we've been touring since last year in Jan

naarah - a few thousand
ab sam - was it 6000-7000 in New Zealand
ab sam - ? i can't remember...anyone?
ab naarah - yeah

ab sam - mine is Hungry Jacks!
ben kolarcik - ooh, i love mexican food!!!
ab naarah - Chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ben kolarcik - and definitely chocolate chip cookies (homemade)
ab sam - haha, yeah naarah loves chocolate!

ab naarah - spend time with families and friends!
ab naarah - and I shop and go to the movies!

ab naarah - Get as much practice and as many gigs and experience as you can.
ab naarah - and no matter what happens keep on giving your best!

ab sam - about 2 years as AB
ab naarah - We've been together for about two years, all six of us that is.
ab sam - but a couple of us were together in a youth band before this
lloyds says, "how do u write your songs?"
ab naarah - I write mine with melody first and then I take it to Ben who will put music to it. Then it goes to all the band to pull apart.
ben kolarcik - well for me, there never seems to be an exact formula. just depending on different experiences and convictions help to inspire new songs
ab sam - i write with a guitar and a lot humming...somehow a song comes out

ab naarah - can you hum in tune?
ab sam - almost...
elwood says, "How much does an acoustic bass cost?"
ab naarah - sam answer this one.
ab sam - I'm a guitarist, so i dont really know, i think Matt's Bass is about $1700, or $1699.95...

ab sam - i have been one for 14 years
ab naarah - I think most of us were brought up in christian homes.
lloyds says, "who is your favorite guitarists?"
ab sam - i like the Edge from U2, whoever plays in Matchbox 20, they're good players.
ben kolarcik - one of my favourite guitarists is tim reynolds, and also a guy from my local town in the states, named craig wagner

ab sam - also, Paul Colman is a good acoustic player

ab sam - lad of destiny? what a strange name? by gum!
ab ben - well lad, it is important to remember that we are all beautiful on the inside
brisbane_dude says, "on your latest album cover there's a place called Dezmond's... where is that??"
ab ben - sam can answer that
ab sam - one of our friends is also a graphic designer, and he made this picture of an old theatre, and his name is Dez...so he thought he'd slip his name in the CD somewhere, so he did it there...pretty cool huh?
benny says, "whats your favourite animal?"
ab naarah - a Horse or a dog. Mans best friend!
ben kolarcik - i like big dogs, yellow labs, st. bernards, golden retrievers, etc.
ab ben - im partial to animals that require no thought and no care
ab sam - ben likes Mexican walking fish
