Chat
Tips
(Changing rooms, sounds, options & more)
To
change rooms - click on the room name in the middle left chat
window (far left) ie Rhubarb Live, Chat Lounge. PS - This
window does not refresh itself automatically. If you want a current
update of how many people are in each room then click the map button or
the link provided under the room names.
After
typing a message you can either click 'Send' (or
press 'Enter'). You can also use the
exclamation mark button, or the thought bubble button. They each give a
different look to what you type.
Netscape
user note:
If you resize the browser while chatting you may have to
press 'Reload'.
You
can resize any of the windows by dragging the borders around.
To exit - close the browser and you'll be automatically logged
out or type /quit
To
be alerted when people come, go or speak, right click where the chat
messages are displayed and select 'Sound
On Incoming Message'.
Make
a time with your friends to meet.
To
chat to someone privately, double click their name in the left-hand
column.
Right
clicking your mouse in different areas gives you different options.
The
down arrow on the menu bar gives you the different menu options. Check
them out.
